Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children get the titles of prince and princess?24.05.2022
Traditions are sacred at Windsor Castle. Therefore, if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle soon announce the expectation of their first child, the baby will not get the title. After all, according to royal rules, only the children and grandchildren of the monarch can hold the official titles of His or Her Royal Highness. Prince William’s children are the exception to the rule, as their father is second in line to the British throne. For the sake of her beloved great-grandchildren, Queen Elizabeth II made an exception.
If the future children of Prince Harry are awarded the same favor, the rules of succession will have to be changed. Otherwise, the heirs of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have to be content with the status of lords and ladies.
However, the situation may change if the favorite of the British royal family becomes a father when Prince Charles ascends the throne. In this case, the three-generation law will not be violated, and Prince Harry’s children will legally be able to call themselves princes or princesses, like their cousins and cousin – George, Louis and Charlotte.
Do you think the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are thinking about the title of their future children?
