The Wall Street Journal published a study on how important it is for the full development of the child to solve crosswords and puzzles. The author of the material Ann Lukits (Ann Lukits) found a positive effect from these activities. According to the expert, solving crossword puzzles on a regular basis improves children’s memory, develops the ability to think creatively and strategically, expands a child’s vocabulary, improves his literacy, teaches perseverance and patience. Puzzles and crossword puzzles are an excellent simulator for developing memory and mindfulness.
Ann Lukits encourages parents to take part in this intellectual process with their children. Solving crossword puzzles or picking up puzzles can become a family tradition and a great idea for joint leisure.
The author of the study also notes another facet of the benefits of children’s passion for crossword puzzles – thanks to the constantly growing vocabulary, it will be easier for young scholars to socialize, find and maintain topics for communication.
