  5. Add white detergent to your washing machine.

1. Soda :

  • dissolve a few tablespoons of the substance in water;
  • place white socks in the prepared solution;
  • leave for a couple of hours.

2. Boric acid :

  • prepare a solution: 1 liter of water + 1 tablespoon of acid;
  • soak the product (for 1-2 hours).

3. Ammonia :

  • dilute 2 tablespoons of liquid (with a very pungent odor!) in 1 liter of water;
  • leave the socks in the solution for 2 hours.

4. Hydrogen peroxide :

  • pour 75-100 ml of product into a bucket;
  • leave the product in an antiseptic for several hours.

5. Vinegar :

  • stir in 1 liter of water 1 tablespoon of the product;
  • soak your socks for half an hour.

6. Dishwasher detergent :

  • dilute the product in water with washing powder (gel);
  • Soak your socks in this solution for a couple of hours.

7. Aspirin :

  • crush 2 tablets of acetylsalicylic acid;
  • dilute them in 3 liters of water;
  • leave the socks on overnight.

8. Toothpaste ;

  • smear heavy dirt with a mass;
  • leave for 5-10 minutes.

Soak socks in lukewarm water so that dirt does not penetrate the fibers even more.

Boiling: step by step

  1. Soak socks in 1 liter of warm water.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide to water.
  3. Grate laundry soap directly into the solution (on a coarse grater).
  4. Place the container on the stove.
  5. Bring the solution with socks to a boil.
  6. Boil over low heat for 10-20 minutes.
  7. Rinse items thoroughly with warm water.

This method will help get rid of ingrained dirt. However, it is only suitable for cotton products.

In the microwave: step by step

  1. Take a glass bowl designed for the microwave oven.
  2. Soak your socks in it.
  3. Add some dish soap or liquid soap to the water.
  4. Set the maximum power.
  5. Turn on the microwave for 10 minutes.
  6. Take out your socks carefully.
  7. Rinse them thoroughly.

This quick method will remove contaminants without resorting to boiling. It can be used when you need to wash 1-2 pairs of socks.

Helpful Hints

To make white socks retain their original appearance for a long time:

  • do not wash them together with dark and / or colored items;
  • do not wear white socks for more than one day;
  • wash socks immediately after taking them off so that the dirt does not have time to eat in strongly;
